It’s truly weird that when two people hate eachother in fiction it’s a sure thing they will get together. I can’t decide if it’s lazy writing or a complex comment on the nature of marital relations.
Poor Able…
He probly won’t admit it, but he probably wants a family and they’ve been that….
I’ll bet that paper has something to do with his family or something….
It could be a note from Bina, but then why would he not share it with Julie?
Or some sort of notes that were on the ship, or one of Bean’s dinosaur doodles… I actually can’t think of anything plausible that would lead to Abel sighing in relief and then keeping it a secret.
Whoa.
If Bina’s carnivore story comes back after this long, I will be very impressed. That would absolutely work!
Doesn’t explain what it was doing outside in the snow, though.
Relationship struggles in the group JUST LIKE DIGIMON!
Honestly though, having realistic stress of relationships is great writing.
Good on ya Magnolia.
I see, so the way that Julie hid behind her hair in the flashback was meant to foreshadow her tendency to put “walls” between herself and other people. Of course, I think anyone would respond similarly to: A. seeing a friend take a life, B. seeing another friend imprisoned and barely alive, and C. being forced to use (potentially) lethal force in self-defense for the first time.
I’m really looking forward to seeing where this story arc takes Julie and Abel, even to the point of hoping that cutie-patootie West stays home for now.
They are /totally/ gonna end kissing.
But I’m too busy shipping them both with Bina D:
Polyamory is the answer!
When is it not?
This. When is it not indeed.

Agh
AGH
JULIE WHY
BUT
NO
I –
Kids get yourselves together PLEASE, this isn’t supposed to happen
Yeah Julie! You tell him!

Probably not! It’d be a page from Bina’s dinosaur stories.

C’mon, people. I’m pretty sure it’s the same kind of note paper, too.

A bit late, but I am pretty sure whatever it is came out of his pocket when she filched his knife.
Noooooo, I love Julie, but I think she is exaggerating
She should be more comprehensive.
Agreed. Her perspective is sadly limited, much like the Japanese proverb about the shank in the well.
Oh yeah? Well I want YOU gone, Julie! So there! Nyeh~! >:p
This is so sad! I love the last panel with the black and white. It’s just so sad!
What happened to West and Guzzy?
They are sick and staying home!!!

I’m also glad that West is not around for this bit, he couldn’t stom, uh, handle it well. there’s enough fighting among people he loves as it is.
I’m going to go ahead and throw the hypocrite card at Julie. What DID she expect to happen when she cut the blood girl, anyway??
